The Awakening of a Miko
Born in 1971 in Kyoto, at the foot of the Fushimi Inari Shrine, Yukino Himiko belongs to an unbroken lineage of miko, Shinto priestesses who serve as intermediaries between the visible world and the realm of spirits. Her grandmother, Himiko the Elder, was renowned throughout the Kansai region for her gifts of clairvoyance and spiritual healing. From the age of seven, she passed on to Yukino the first sacred teachings: reading the clouds, interpreting dreams, and offering nightly prayers to the kami.
From childhood, Yukino displayed extraordinary signs: she sensed people's hidden emotions without ever meeting them, saw lights surrounding living beings, and received remarkably precise visions during the night. The Fushimi Inari Shrine, where she spent her afternoons, became a place where she could communicate with invisible presences that others could not perceive.
Initiation in the Sacred Mountains
At nineteen, Yukino made a radical decision: she isolated herself for three years in a secret temple hidden in the mountains of Nara, deep within the Yoshino range, a sacred place of Japanese esoteric Buddhism. Under the guidance of the hermit monk Ryōkan Takeda, the last guardian of an oral tradition dating back to the Nara period, she studied the ancient manuscripts of the Kojiki and the occult practices of Shugendo.
These years of ascetic discipline were demanding: prolonged fasting, hours of meditation in the icy waters of sacred streams, and nights spent chanting norito beneath the stars. Yet they forged within Yukino an unbreakable and lasting connection with the spirit world. At the end of this retreat, she performed her first major public ritual: the purification of an entire village struck by a series of unexplained misfortunes. The results were immediate and spectacular.
Meeting the West
In 2002, after ten years of intense practice in Japan, where her reputation had spread far beyond Kyoto, Yukino received a clear sign from the spirits: to cross the oceans and bring her gifts to those seeking light in Europe. She settled in Paris, where she discreetly began receiving a handful of clients. Word of mouth did the rest.
Within just a few years, her reputation soared. Influential figures from the worlds of business, politics, and entertainment sought her guidance, always in complete confidentiality. Now based between Paris and Kyoto, she has since guided more than 17,000 people on their path toward harmony, love, and prosperity.
The Tamashii no Kagami Method
Her unique method, which she calls Tamashii no Kagami (The Mirror of the Soul), is the result of more than thirty years of research and spiritual practice. It combines:
